Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the colonial-era architecture, bustling Mall Road, and the scenic Ridge. Enjoy a relaxed evening and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 2: Shimla to Kalpa (220 km | 8-9 hrs)

After an early breakfast, embark on a picturesque drive towards Kalpa, passing through Kufri, Narkanda, and Rampur. Witness breathtaking views of the Sutlej River, dense pine forests, and apple orchards along the way. Stop at Sarahan to visit the famous Bhimakali Temple before continuing to Kalpa. Upon arrival, soak in the mesmerizing view of the Kinner Kailash range. Overnight stay in Kalpa.

Day 3: Kalpa to Tabo (190 km | 7-8 hrs)

Today, begin your journey into the heart of Spiti Valley. Drive along the rugged terrain of Kinnaur, passing through Reckong Peo and Puh before reaching Nako Village, home to the serene Nako Lake. Enjoy a short walk around the lake and have lunch at a local eatery. Continue towards Tabo, the “Ajanta of the Himalayas,” and visit the Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in India. Overnight stay in Tabo.

Day 4: Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar Monastery (80 km | 4-5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Dhankar, the ancient capital of Spiti. Visit the breathtaking Dhankar Monastery, precariously perched on a cliff with spectacular views of the Spiti River valley. If time permits, take a short trek to Dhankar Lake. Later, proceed to Kaza, the largest town in Spiti, where you can explore the local market. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 5: Kaza – Key Monastery & Hikkim, Komic, Langza Excursion

Start the day with a visit to the iconic Key Monastery, the largest monastery in Spiti, offering panoramic views of the valley. Later, drive to Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, and send a postcard to your loved ones. Continue to Komic, one of the highest villages in the world, and then to Langza, known for its giant Buddha statue and marine fossils. Return to Kaza for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Kaza to Chandratal via Kunzum Pass (90 km | 6-7 hrs)

Bid farewell to Kaza and drive towards Chandratal, crossing the mighty Kunzum Pass (4,551m). En route, enjoy stunning views of glaciers and barren landscapes. Upon arrival at Chandratal, take a short hike to the mesmerizing Chandratal Lake, a crescent-shaped wonder reflecting the beauty of the surrounding peaks. Spend the night in camps under a starlit sky.

Day 7: Chandratal to Manali (130 km | 8-9 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your return journey towards Manali, crossing the adventurous Batal, Chhatru, and the Atal Tunnel. Marvel at the changing landscapes as you leave Spiti’s cold desert and enter the lush green valleys of Kullu. Upon arrival in Manali, check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening exploring Mall Road. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 8: Departure from Manali

After breakfast, bid adieu to the majestic Himalayas. If time permits, explore Hadimba Temple, Old Manali, or Vashisht Hot Springs before departing for your onward journey.
