Day 1: Shimla to Sangla / Chitkul (Baspa Valley)

  • Distance: ~230 km

  • Drive Time: 8–9 hours

  • Altitude: ~2,600 m

  • Overnight Stay: Sangla or Chitkul

Begin your journey from Shimla early morning. Drive through the scenic hills of Kufri, Narkanda, and Rampur. Reach Sangla, one of the most beautiful valleys in Himachal. If time permits, drive further to Chitkul, the last village on the Indo-Tibetan border.


Day 2: Sangla/Chitkul to Kalpa – Apple Orchards & Kinnaur Kailash

  • Distance: ~60–70 km

  • Drive Time: 3–4 hours

  • Altitude: ~2,960 m

  • Overnight Stay: Kalpa

Drive to Kalpa, a charming town with the Kinnaur Kailash peak in view. Relax among pine forests and apple orchards. Visit Suicide Point and the local monastery. Sunset views over snow-capped peaks are magical here.


Day 3: Kalpa to Nako – Desert Begins

  • Distance: ~100 km

  • Drive Time: 4–5 hours

  • Altitude: ~3,600 m

  • Overnight Stay: Nako

As you enter Spiti terrain, the green forests start fading into barren, rugged mountains. Visit the serene Nako Lake and monastery. Optional stop at Gue Village to see the 500-year-old mummified monk.


Day 4: Nako to Kaza via Tabo & Dhankar Monasteries

  • Distance: ~110 km

  • Drive Time: 6–7 hours

  • Altitude: ~3,800 m

  • Overnight Stay: Kaza

Stop at Tabo Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff. Trek (optional) to Dhankar Lake. Arrive in Kaza, the capital of Spiti Valley, by evening.


Day 5: Kaza – Local Sightseeing (High Villages Loop)

  • Places Covered: Key Monastery, Kibber, Chicham Bridge, Hikkim, Komic, Langza

  • Altitude: 4,000 m+

  • Overnight Stay: Kaza

Explore Spiti’s iconic high-altitude villages:

Day 6: Kaza to Chandratal Lake via Kunzum Pass

  • Distance: ~100 km

  • Drive Time: 6 hours

  • Altitude: ~4,300 m

  • Overnight Stay: Chandratal Camps

Drive to Chandratal, the “Moon Lake” with surreal colors and reflections. Pass through Losar and cross Kunzum La (4,551 m). Enjoy a starlit night at a luxury camp near the lake (available mid-June to early October).


Day 7: Chandratal to Manali – Tour Ends

  • Distance: ~125 km

  • Drive Time: 6–8 hours

  • Route: Batal → Chhatru → Atal Tunnel → Manali

Wrap up your Spiti Valley package journey by driving back to Manali via the adventurous Batal–Chhatru–Atal Tunnel route. Reach Manali by evening and conclude the unforgettable trip.
