Itinerary
Day 1: Pune to Delhi – Arrival & Overnight Stay
Board a flight from Pune to Delhi. On arrival, check into a comfortable hotel near the airport. This short stay helps in adjusting to the long travel and prepares you for the high-altitude journey to Leh the next day.
Day 2: Delhi to Leh – Arrival & Acclimatization
Fly from Delhi to Leh (1.5 hrs) in the morning. Once you arrive at Kushok Bakula Airport, transfer to your hotel and rest for acclimatization to Leh’s altitude (~11,500 ft). Evening at leisure with light walking near the hotel. Overnight in Leh.
Day 3: Leh Local Sightseeing – Cultural Day
Begin the day with a visit to Shanti Stupa, offering panoramic views of the town. Continue to Leh Palace, then visit Magnetic Hill, Sangam (Indus–Zanskar confluence), and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Return to hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 4: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass
Drive through Khardung La (18,380 ft), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Reach Nubra Valley, check into a deluxe camp or hotel. Visit Diskit Monastery and enjoy a camel ride at Hunder Sand Dunes. Evening bonfire (subject to weather). Overnight in Nubra.
Day 5: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route
Post breakfast, drive along the adventurous Shyok River route to reach the iconic Pangong Lake. This high-altitude lake, known for its magical blue hues, offers incredible views. Check into your lake-facing camp and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Overnight at Pangong.
Day 6: Pangong to Leh via Chang La Pass
Wake up to a sunrise over Pangong Lake, then begin your journey back to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,590 ft). En route, visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Reach Leh by evening and relax. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 7: Free Day in Leh or Optional Excursion
Spend the day relaxing or exploring Leh Market for souvenirs. You can also choose an optional excursion to Alchi Monastery or Stok Palace, or try local Ladakhi cuisine. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8: Leh to Delhi – Flight & Optional Stay
Transfer to Leh Airport after breakfast and board your flight to Delhi. Either catch your connecting flight to Pune the same day or opt for an overnight stay in Delhi (if needed).
Day 9: Return to Pune – End of Trip
Fly from Delhi back to Pune, completing your unforgettable journey through Ladakh’s beautiful mountains, lakes, and valleys.
