Day 1: Delhi to Shimla (Overnight Journey)

The adventure begins as you gather at the designated pick-up point in Delhi. Once everyone is aboard the tempo traveller, the group departs for Shimla. The overnight journey takes you through the scenic highways of northern India, offering glimpses of the landscapes that will define the days ahead.

Day 2: Arrival in Shimla + Local Sightseeing

Upon arrival in Shimla, you will check into your hotel and take some time to freshen up. After breakfast, the day is devoted to exploring Shimla’s popular attractions. Begin with a visit to the iconic Ridge and the Mall Road, where you can soak in the colonial charm and shop for souvenirs. Continue to Jakhoo Temple, perched atop a hill, and enjoy panoramic views of the town. After a day of exploring Shimla, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Shimla to Sarahan

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey towards Sarahan, a picturesque village known for its serene environment and stunning views. En route, you’ll pass through beautiful valleys, dense forests, and traditional Himachali villages. Upon reaching Sarahan, check into your hotel. Visit the famous Bhimakali Temple, a unique blend of Buddhist and Hindu architecture. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Sarahan to Kalpa

The journey continues as you travel from Sarahan to Kalpa, another stunning location in the Kinnaur district. Kalpa is renowned for its apple orchards and the majestic view of the Kinnaur Kailash range. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to relax. Later, explore the village, visit the Kalpa Monastery, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Kalpa to Tabo via Nako

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head towards Tabo, passing through the scenic village of Nako. Nako is famous for its lake, which is a perfect spot for a peaceful break. Continue your journey to Tabo, a small town known for its ancient monastery, often referred to as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas.” Upon arrival in Tabo, check into your hotel and explore the Tabo Monastery, which houses beautiful frescoes and ancient scriptures. Day 6: Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar

Today’s journey takes you from Tabo to Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley. En route, visit Dhankar Monastery, perched on a cliff, offering spectacular views of the confluence of the Spiti and Pin rivers. After spending some time at Dhankar, continue to Kaza. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, explore Kaza’s local market and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of this remote town. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Kaza Exploration

After breakfast, spend the day exploring the many wonders around Kaza. Visit the Key Monastery, the largest and oldest monastery in Spiti, which offers panoramic views of the valley. Next, head to the high-altitude villages of Kibber and Langza, known for their unique landscapes and ancient fossils. If time permits, you can also visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office. After a full day of exploration, return to the hotel in Kaza for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Kaza to Delhi (Departure)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the return journey to Delhi. The drive will take you back through the stunning landscapes of Spiti and beyond, retracing your steps through the majestic mountains. Lunch will be en route at a local restaurant (at your own expense). Upon reaching Delhi, you will be dropped off at the designated point, marking the end of your unforgettable Spiti Valley group tour with Family Yatra.
